Travel across Malaysia through Beijing, China

  Dampness, cold and slush not the best time on the eve of spring holidays in the central part of Russia. It isn't surprising that at this time there is desire to get warm under warm beams of the sun. Fortunately, at this particular time it was succeeded to escape to far Malaysia.

  Tickets got in advance, in three months at low prices from Air China. Flight with change in Beijing in each party, 9 and 7 hours. Thus, to impressions about Malaysia, the capital of China will be added for a moment. Night flight, not the best dining and in the morning we landed in Beijing. Pass through transit customs and the aeroexpress train quicker to come to be in the downtown. Familiar places, a meeting with friends and walk on sights: Temple of Heaven (even early in the morning on weekday it is full of people, the dancing pensioners playing in мадзян, lovely and loudly talking), Tiananmen Square and the area Guomao with the skyscrapers.

  Time quickly flew by and we hurry back in the airport on the following flight.

  And here almost at midnight we arrive in Kuala Lumpur, we are in time on the last aeroexpress train to KL Central where in 5 minutes of walking we from the station reserved the hotel accommodation. Late morning, yet not a lunch, but already late for a breakfast, a midday heat and we go to a sightseeing. The first that, probably, each tourist in KL does – it Petronas and nearby places visits towers.

It would be desirable to focus the attention on the last and we advise to find for it more time. The fascinating museum of science and technology, will be interesting both to children, and adults.

  Couple of days we devote the following to walks around the city, to visit of the park of birds, Batu caves, the museum KL, the central market, the Indian quarter. In the last day at Merdeka Square casually became the audience of the last stage of a cycle race, under the scorching sun could wait for the finish of participants.

  In our plans was to occupy several places in Malaysia, movement was carried out in the most bystry way, by air. And furthermore here where the large low-cost airline of AirAsia makes a huge number of flights about the country and all Southeast Asia. So, flight in Johore Bahru in the suburb of which there is Legoland is early in the morning planned. In an anticipation of entertainments and children's fun, in an aeporporta we met cruel realities of this world, namely the 29th day of February was some collapse at AirAsia. Our flight to Johore Bahru was delayed for 6 hours … Here it is worth explaining because the city isn't of particular interest it dropped out of our list of visit and only Legoland in which tickets were bought in advance interested and affect strictly chosen date. The morning arrival, 6 hours of entertainments in the park was planned and evening flight to go to the lake of Penang. The delay of flight set thinking, whether to stay overnight in Johore Bahru whether to buy next day tickets to the park (already without 20% of a discount), whether to lose tickets for Penang (they not returnable) and to buy new … Time to think was, decided to leave everything as it is … On an arrival in Johore Bahru left things in an automatic left-luggage office and having used Uber reached Legoland, before its closing remained about one and a half hours. The park is divided into two zones – Akwa and the amusement park, on each zone gave minutes on 40, but it was worth it! We hope that in the future we will be able to visit Legolend and to enjoy his entertainments in full.

  And in the evening we were waited by other surprise – the next delay of flight, to Penang we took off with 3kh hour delay. To two o'clock in the morning reached a cottage near the Batu Feringghi beach where rented the room through Airbnb.

  On the island quite good infrastructure therefore it is possible to reach many points by buses. Besides beach rest on Penang we visited sights of Georgetown. A fort Kornvallis, represents the territory fenced from four parties in which a lawn of lawns, a shop, the gun on perimeter. Got on the observation deck of a tower Komtar – in guides and on the websites it was told about free rise, and upon it turned out that it is possible to visit only restaurant during a breakfast, a lunch, a dinner or coffee break. We chose the last, came to drink around three o'clock in the afternoon on a cup of coffee and to enjoy the review of the city, to see at the passage between the continent and 13 kilometer bridge the connecting island with the continent.

  As we are the people loving active recreation therefore and here places where it is possible to spend time actively were found. Early in the morning the last day devoted to visit of National park of Taman Negra. The walking route lay through the jungle, beaches and rise on the mountain to Muka Head beacon. Total 6,5 km of a route, ascent of 446 meters. Back returned by the boat to a start point, having agreed with the local boatman and having paid it to the wife (even in the Muslim country matriarchy meets).

  Last point of our rest island of Langkawi. It is possible to reach it on water or by air. Ferries go three times a day, early in the morning and two during the lunchtime, about 3 hours float. Planes fly more often, 30 minutes in air together with take off and landing. At the prices it appeared equally. Chose the plane in lunch time.

  In the late afternoon we to Langkawi, enjoyed a decline, a tasty small fish in cafe in the neighbourhood with our hotel. On the island there is no public transport, for this reason rented a motor-bike for all the time of stay. Once met police patrol in mountains, stopped us, checked the rights, having specified where we go, wished a kind way and released.

  Sky Cable Car, turn on the elevator, viewing of short cinema – an attraction of a roller coaster in a chair of movie theater, rise on the mountain in the closed cabin became our first point, and to our look dizzy views of the island appear. Having enjoyed beauty, we go to falls which were seen from a cabin. Spring – a dry season therefore also it is a little water. Having walked and having jumped on stones, inertly current falls, rose up the index to 7 wells … this place to us was fallen in love for the review, an unusual relief.

  Next day went on other beaches of the island, with arrivals to falls. It should be noted that sand on the island very small, is similar to dust why water becomes muddy. In the northwest found the beach between the stony coast with clear transparent water.

  Took tour on half of day – a trip on the lake of the pregnant Maiden and feeding the Himalayan eagles – an island symbol. The fresh lake is on the island, to the sushi separated from the sea by ten meters.

  Well, here and in a way back. It is the sixth flight in two weeks … we fly to Kuala Lumpur from where without being late, we take off for Beijing. Flight wasn't delayed, we in time appeared at the KL airport where expected night flight.

  In the morning in Beijing, could leave to the city. Rather basic worker of customs didn't want to release to the city because of short transit (~ 6 hours), hardly persuaded. And we drive the car with friends on the Chinese wall. For an hour we pass 3 km, with ascent of 311 meters.





And back in the airport. Regretting that flights with bigger change couldn't find to spend more time in Beijing. But tomorrow since morning for work! Took off from Beijing with an hour delay, the second engine wasn't started. In Moscow we get on well with all procedures on the train, at a stock of 20 minutes … Were in time!

Total, in 19 days – three countries, 8 flights, sea of impressions.
